Session 1: See The Big Picture

Commit to capture the big picture for your ministry!
Your “See the Big Picture” Action Plan starts with Scripture memorization followed by an assessment of your current activities to measure how your efforts align with the characteristics of Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry.
Memorize Matthew 9:35-38. Repeat it over and over until you have it etched into your mind and heart.
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Review your Current Activities Assessment and pray about which activities you think you need to continue as they are, the ones you need to either change or stop, and/or new ones you need to start in order to align with Jesus’ ministry.

Going forward, Sessions 2-7 will consider each Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry characteristic in greater depth and guide you to more fully implement Jesus’ vision for your life and ministry.
